Fire Cadets
Fire Cadets is an exciting youth engagement programme offering young people the opportunity to engage with London Fire Brigade (LFB) and gain a credible qualification and life skills they can use in the workplace. And of course, it’s lots of fun! Our cadets can take part in a range of activities which help build confidence, develop practical skills and bring the local community together. Our cadets also have the opportunity to represent London Fire Brigade at prestigious events. The Fire Cadet experience gives you the chance to meet new people and take part in activities you might not have expected!

"Fire Cadets has been life changing for me! I started as a 15 year old boy who had an interest in the Fire Brigade – once I joined, I was given opportunities to enhance many skills that I have been able to transfer into my own life and career. Once I turned 18, I became a Volunteer Cadet Instructor, and in January 2015, aged 21, I secured the role of a Youth Engagement Coordinator and now manage two Fire Cadet units overseeing 20 volunteers and 32 Fire Cadets!"
